We are honored and privileged to welcome the incredible Inelia Garcia to her first-ever USA Pilates Tour - Los Angeles/Boston, October 2020.

Designated "teacher of teachers" by Romana Kryzanowska, Joseph Pilates' long-time protege, Inelia Garcia instructs and inspires teachers and students worldwide. With the blessing of Romana Kryzanowska she created the Pilates Studio Brasil. Her intensive training program, known for quality and excellence turns out some of the greatest instructors in the world. Her tireless passion for sharing the work of Joseph Pilates, and her love for keeping the "original" Pilates method alive and growing are evident wherever and whenever Inelia teaches.

The weekend at the Original Method Pilates studio will include five 4-hour workshops based on Inelia's intimate study of Joe Pilates' work with Romana Kryzanowska. The first workshop on Friday afternoon October 16, comes from what Joe called "Home Contrology" which is now generally referred to as “Pre-Pilates”. It consists of many wonderful and challenging exercises that can be done at home or in the studio using simple props such as mat, towel, magic circle, chair, etc. Other workshops include an in depth study of “The Reformer Work”, a deep dive into the “Wunda Chair, an exploration of the “Spine Corrector and Mini Barrel”, and the “Finalization” exercises, a comprehensive look at the ways to end a session which includes work with the magic circle, hand weights, the wall, Cadillac, guillotine tower, barrels and more.


With support from Gratz Pilates, The Original Method Studio will be fully equipped with a large number of reformers, wunda chairs, spine correctors, etc. so that each attendee will have the opportunity to spend as much time as possible learning the work in their own bodies while using the best Pilates equipment available. Inelia will also teach spotting and cueing as she learned from Romana. Attendees have the opportunity to help spot and guide others through exercises at various times throughout the weekend.
