Ken Heizman

Ken Heizman teaches the “original method” of Pilates, as taught to him for 10+ years by Jay Grimes who learned the Pilates system and how to teach it from Joe and Clara Pilates during the 1960’s and 70’s. Ken also studies extensively with Inelia Garcia who was given the distinguished title of "Teacher or Teachers" by Romana Kryzanowska, the long-time portage of Joseph Pilates. The original method of Pilates is the most difficult rewarding style of the exercise method. It is Pilates, as much as possible the way the founder and developer of the method, Joseph Pilates, envisioned it.
Ken is one of a few people in the world to fully complete Jay Grimes' comprehensive teacher’s program. He has also completed several hundred hours of private sessions with Jay. More recently Ken was certified to teach by the great Inelia Garcia through her prestigious teacher training program at the Pilates Studio Brasil, and he continues to learn, study and practice regularly with the best teachers in the world in order to continue to advance himself and become an even more knowledgable and skilled instructor.
In Pilates, as in any exercise method, it is the results that count. Pilates performed with focus and control, produces great results quickly and thoroughly throughout the body. Ken attributes Pilates to helping him to overcome old back injuries, and to develop his own body into the best physical shape of his life. He began practicing Pilates in 2003, and in 2005 he began to teach. He’s been teaching and practicing, and learning ever since. Ken is passionate about his work, and he enthusiastically shares the magic of Pilates with others.

Heather Briskie

Heather has danced ballet for many years, and she has always had a passion for building her body and her mind. She discovered the Pilates method several years ago, and she found that it was the ideal exercise method for helping her to become a better dancer and to condition her body into its most healthy form by strengthening and stretching, and controlling all movements from her core.
While continuing to learn and practice diligently for years, her love of Pilates eventually led her to begin teaching this incredible exercise method. Today she continues to practice the method nearly every day while continuing to teach and learn. She enjoys instructing others as much as she loves to practice herself. She firmly believes that the Pilates method allows her and her clients to stay fit and healthy, and to age gracefully with strength and confidence. Heather loves to help her clients to become stronger, healthier, and more centered. She will happily meet and work with new clients to help them to achieve their fitness goals and to become stronger and more physically healthy.

Ashley Ruetenik

Ashley was introduced to Pilates at a young age and was certified at Core Conditioning PT in 2008 when she was 17. She came to learn the benefits of Pilates while overcoming her own injuries. She has shared her knowledge and expertise of Pilates with her clients in both New York and LA over the past 8 years. She has continued to study a variety of bodywork techniques including Yoga and Thai Massage, but she finds that the most effective results come from the traditional Pilates method. Ashley thinks that exercise and movement should feel good, and she strongly believes that everyone can benefit from this work.
